Back home

We are back home, a little tired for the long trip, us parents at least...our toddler is excited with his new wooden bike!!

A 100 year old swedish apartment

We're going to the airport, our long vacations are about to end, I'm a bit sad to leave Italy but thinking that our home in Argentina is waiting for us makes me feel better. We bought very many things this time and I can't wait to restyle the whole apartment! In the meanwhile I wanted to share these photos of a swedish flat that I found on Stadshem.  I particularly like the simpleness of the kitchen, and the black and white contrast of the shelves.  See more pics on Stadshem.

A joyful swedish apartment

I just can't stop posting apartments from Fantastic Frank! This one looks just perfect: it's white but it's colourful, it's minimal but it's cozy, I think I could move here tomorrow!! Everything spreads joy. I feel I need to say something about the kitchen, it's weird how it goes with home and decoration, I have got this personal idea of a total white kitchen, strongly minimal with no objects at all, and suddenly I see the pictures of this kitchen and I just adore it. It has nothing to do with the idealistic one, but still... it must be the natural wood mixed with the white panels, this detail recalls me 80s style kitchens, I'm currently revisiting that aesthetic, finding lots of inspiration in it too!

No puedo parar de postear fotos de departamentos que encuentro en el sitio de Fantastic Frank. Este me parece perfecto: es blanco pero tiene colores, es minimalista pero es acojedor, creo que me mudaria mañana!! Todo me transmite felicidad. No quiero dejar de hablar de la cocina, es raro lo que pasa con la decoración, a veces lo que idealizamos no es lo que nos impacta realmente. Yo tengo esta idea personal de una cocina muy minimalista, blanca y sin objetos, pero despues veo la foto de esta cocina y me encanta. La madera natural mezclada con el blanco recuerda mucho el estilo de cocinas de lo años 80, en los ultimos tiempos estoy rescatando la estetica 80s, encontrando una gran fuente de inspiración!

Metal & pinewood

I love the industrial shelves in the first picture, it's an easy way to storage things and have everything under sight when you are cooking. The styling of the second picture caught my attention for the presence of Sedia 1, a self assembly chair designed by Enzo Mari in 1974. The chair is part of a project called Autoprogettazione, a collection of simple furniture that anyone could produce using pre cut pinewood boards, some nails and a hammer. Mari's work aimed to demonstrate that good and functional design could be affordable too. Sedia 1's construction kit has been put under production by artek since 2010. Those who have a gift for handy works will easily be able to produce chairs, stools, tables and more simply following Mari's instructions

Me gustan los estantes metalicos de la primera foto, es una manera simple de guardar las cosas y tenerlas a la vista. El styling de la segunda foto llamó mi atención por la silla Sedia 1, diseñada por Enzo Mari en 1974. La silla es parte de un proyecto llamado Autoprogettazione,  una colección de diseños de muebles muy simples que cualquiera puede producir usando nada más que unos pedazos de madera precortados, unos clavos y un martillo. El trabajo de Mari queria demonstrar que era posible crear objetos de diseño,  lindos, funcionales y a bajo precio. Artek ha empezado a producir el kit de Sedia 1 desde el 2010. Para los que tienen cierta manualidad es un juego hacer cortar la madera y fabricarse sillas, mesas, repisas simplemente siguendo las instrucciones de Mari.

OYOY MINI COLLECTION | AW 2014

Danish brand OYOY launched its aw 2014 collection, I'm particularly in love with the mini collection, of which you can see a few pics here. I'll definitely take inspiration from these stylings to add some colour to my son's room. 

Easy Malmö apartment

I really like the palette used in this Malmö apartment especially the colour of the kitchen. I'm also in love with the black armchair and the bar cart (I'm still looking for it for my own apartment). For more pictures see here.

Me gusta mucho la paleta de este departamento de Malmö,  sobretodo el color de los muebles de la cocina. También me fascinan el sillon negro escandinavo y el bar (estoy todavia obsesionada con encontrar uno para mi departamento). Si queres ver mas fotos fijate aquí.
