Pierre Charpin | Appartement 50

If you are hanging around the Marseille area don't miss the chance to see Pierre Charpin's installation at Le Corbusier's Appartement 50. As for me I'm taking inspiration from this colourful palette to project a composition of hangers for my son's room. As you already know I generally fall for monochrome interiors, a lot of white and some black - black seems to be the trend for kids' rooms these days by the way - but somehow I feel the need to incorporate some colours now, at least in Lorenzo's room!

Villa E | Studio KO

When I bumped into this photo a few minutes ago I couldn't do anything else but take a deep breath and picture myself taking a shower in this unique bathroom... then I made a quick virtual home tour and... oh my!!! I wish I could spend my holidays here!! Take a look by yourself...

Well?! Isn't it just amazing? The villa is a project by Studio KO  and is situated on the top of a hill in the Moroccan mountain region. The building matches perfectly with the surrounding landscape, almost disguising itself, while the interior is a mix of different textures and materials, a combination of french minimalism and typical moroccan decor. The traditional plasters coexist with the linear basculant windows, the ancient carpets and local handcraft combine with modern furniture and contemporary linen curtains... All is about a happy encounter and, as often happens in such situations, the result could be summarized in one word: perfection! For more pics click here.

Line Kay lives here

These images are from the home where talented stylist and photographer Line Kay lives in Oslo (for more pics click here). The wooden elements such as the coffee table or the bench, and the wicker details get along perfectly with the predominant white of the interior. The result is a warm and welcoming space. I particularly liked the mix of bowls of the open cup board in the kitchen and the log used as a side table. I suggest you to keep an eye on Line's blog Vintagepiken for more inspiration!

En esta casa vive la talentuosa fotografa y stylist Line Kay en Oslo. Los elementos en madera como la mesa ratona o el banquito, así como los detalles en mimbre, quedan muy bien en un ambiente en donde el blanco predomina. El resultado es un hogar calido y acojedor. Me encanta la mezcla de bowls y platos dejados a vista en la cocina y el tronco pintado de blanco usado como mesita al lado del sillon. No te pierdas el blog de Line Vintagepiken por mas inspiración!

DIY | Hanging planter

How about hanging plants instead of placing them? Hanging plants, at least outdoor, is no new at all, of course, but usually the hangers are made of ordinary horrible plastic... This rope hanger, on the other hand, is just perfect! I can picture it hanging under our country home porch or even in our livingroom. Que opinan de colgar las plantas en vez de apoyarlas? Colgar las plantas, por lo menos afuera, no es una novedad, obvio. Pero por lo general las macetas colgantes son feas, hechas de plastico y de formas bastante ordinarias. Este florero, al contrario, me parece perfecto tanto para la galeria de nuestra casa en el campo que para nuestro living. Este fin de semana me voy a poner en marcha a ver que sale.
