White and plants in a swedish apartment

via Stadshem

I just found this swedish apartment curently for sale on Stadshem and it immediatly cought my attention. The predominant white is softened by the omnipresence of plants and a mix of old books, vintage furniture and new design pieces. I also like the prints. For more pictures click here.

A few things I love

I just made a small composition of objects that I love. My Moleskines, an old Parker that my father in law gave me a few years ago, a vintage lamp that I found in a deposit at my grandma's, a bottle of black ink, the Vitra tool box, a brass clip from Hay and an old Ikea pot. I was almost forgetting about the plant, it's an orchidee, it's been years since she lost the flowers but I actually love it like this, the dark green leaves turned into a very peculiar shape.

Ferm Living A/W 2014

I see a lot of blue almost everywhere lately, both in magazines, catalogues and blogs, this makes me presume that this season we'll see even more of it. Ferm Living's new collection is no exception, in fact one could say that blue is the leitmotiv here. I particularly like the dark, dramatic colour of the wall in the first image, as well as the funnier one in the last three pictures. The blue marble of the coffee table is also very interesting, so different from the white Carrara we got used to these last seasons. Personally I doubt I'd paint a wall blue, I'm a black and white girl after all, but a few splashes would defenetly do. If you want to see more pictures click here.

Famous Agency

photos by Filip Dujardin with kind permission

This work space designed by Architecten de Vylder Vinck Tallieu for Famous Agency caught my attention the moment I saw it. The building maintains most of the original structures, floors and doors,  as well as some portions of the old plasters. At the same time the space has been renovated according to the needs of the customer: some walls have been removed to ease the communication within the rooms, or they have been replaced with some industrial windowpanes that create an airy and bright environment. The use of the colours is also very inspiring, the pastel palette recalls the original colours that you glimpse here and there, and matches perfectly with the neutral tones of the floors. It must be very inspiring to work here!

Alpine vibes

Today we spent a lovely day in the mountains playing, drawing and looking for mushrooms, when we got back down to the valley it started raining!

White and concrete finnish home

It's been a while since I've been following finnish blog MUSTA OVI, where talented Maja keeps a building diary in which she has been documenting the construction of her beautiful house. I like the contrast between the concrete wall and the pure white of the kitchen. A few black details like Tom Dixon's Beat Lights and 265 wall lamp by Flos stand out, while the simple furniture combines really well with the whole space. I'm also fascinated by the view from the bedroom's window, such a luxuriant wood!

Poltrona "sacco" | Anxiety free living

I'm rethinking my livingroom and I might welcome a bean bag in one of the corners, let's see... I'm fond of this product, an iconic piece of the italian design, conceived in 1968 to free the society from the bourgeois rigidity.

House for trees

via Wallpaper

What if all new buildings were conceived as tree pots like these concrete houses in Ho Chi Minh City? Wouldn't it be nice?

Que tal sería si todos los nuevos edificios tuviesen un macetero en el lugar del techo como estas casas de Ho Chi Minh City? No sería lindo?

Pierre Charpin | Appartement 50

If you are hanging around the Marseille area don't miss the chance to see Pierre Charpin's installation at Le Corbusier's Appartement 50. As for me I'm taking inspiration from this colourful palette to project a composition of hangers for my son's room. As you already know I generally fall for monochrome interiors, a lot of white and some black - black seems to be the trend for kids' rooms these days by the way - but somehow I feel the need to incorporate some colours now, at least in Lorenzo's room!
