DIY | Hanging planter

How about hanging plants instead of placing them? Hanging plants, at least outdoor, is no new at all, of course, but usually the hangers are made of ordinary horrible plastic... This rope hanger, on the other hand, is just perfect! I can picture it hanging under our country home porch or even in our livingroom. Que opinan de colgar las plantas en vez de apoyarlas? Colgar las plantas, por lo menos afuera, no es una novedad, obvio. Pero por lo general las macetas colgantes son feas, hechas de plastico y de formas bastante ordinarias. Este florero, al contrario, me parece perfecto tanto para la galeria de nuestra casa en el campo que para nuestro living. Este fin de semana me voy a poner en marcha a ver que sale. DIY | Origami book art

Some time ago during a rainy weekend I folded some old books, taking inspiration from the origami books that I found on the blog weekdaycarnival. Here are some pictures of the results of that compulsive folding! I like the way they look in the library, and it's really easy to do, you just need to fold the corners of each page, depending on how wide you fold you'll get many different shapes... it's actually a pretty addictive activity in the end!!

Hace un tiempo me pasé un fin de semana lluvioso doblando las páginas de unos viejos libros, tomando inspiración de los origami que encontré en el blog weekdaycarnival. Me gusta como quedan en la biblioteca, y son muy fáciles de realizar, solo hay que doblar los ángulos de cada página y según cuánto dobles obtendrás una u otra forma, las combinaciones son infinitas... al final es hasta adictivo doblar y doblar y doblar!!!

DIY paper lanterns

I just found these cute DIY paper lanterns on the summer edition of sweet paul magazine. I've really been in the mood for this kind of job lately, I've actually spent  most of the last week end folding pages of some old dusty books in order to create origamis to style my library at home - I didn't have the time to shoot any photos yet but I'll be up to it soon - so, I guess I found another little job for this long week end to come. According to the instructions that you'll find here it doesn't seem to be too complicated, let's see, I'll let you know!!

Acabo de encontrar el DIY de estas lamparas de papel en la edicion de verano de la revista sweet paul. Estoy encantada con el papel en estos dias, de hecho me pasé el último fin de semana doblando paginas de viejos libros para hacer unos origamis para decorar mi biblioteca, no tuve el tiempo de sacar ninguna foto todavia, pero en cuanto pueda se las voy a compartir... Así que aparentemente encontré con que ocupar este fin de semana largo que se viene!!
